From April 13th to 17th, the 2024 NAB Show, known as the "Oscar" in the broadcasting industry, officially kicked off. NxVi exhibited video and AI product series, including the newly launched 4ch 4K Encoder/Decoder - Theia T1 MINI, 4K/8K encoder, decoder, convertor, 4ch 4K live streaming switcher and AI edge inference computing box, which provide professional solutions to broadcasting industry. NxVi's booth garnered a lot of attention and inquiries from customers on the exhibition.


The Broadcast-level 4K HEVC Encoder/Decoder Is Now Fully Available

The broadcast-level 4K HEVC Encoder/Decoder, Theia T1 MINI, garnered significant attention. It supports 4K/1080p HEVC real-time encoding or decoding via quad-link 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.1. It’s highly flexible with 4x 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.1 inputs, and it offers HDR10/HLG support on HDMI 2.1 output. It provides 4:2:0/4:2:2 color sampling and 10-bit HDR10/HLG HEVC encoding at up to 60 fps. The installation is easy, and the user-friendly WebGUI simplifies operation.


Full Range of 4K/8K Products are Showcased

NxVi also showcased our comprehensive line of 4K/8K products, including the Theia T1 encoder, the Theia D1 decoder, and the Theia C1 converter. These products cover the processes from encoding to decoding and signal conversion, delivering an immersive and ultimate visual experience in 4K/8K and 8K VR.


Theia T1 encoder supports 1ch 8K or 4ch 4K/1080 HEVC, or 1ch 1080p60/i60 AVC video encoding transmission through 12G-SDI input or HDMI 2.1 interface, with 4:2:0/4:2:2 chroma sampling and 10-bit HDR10/HLG HEVC encoding up to 60 frames per second. Theia D1 decoder can pair with Theia T1 in various large-scale live broadcast events, is capable of decoding and playing video content up to 8Kp60 or 4Kp120 HEVC. Theia C1 convertor seamlessly transforms 8Kp60 4:2:2 signals from 12G-SDI to HDMI 2.1. Each of these products offers unique capabilities, bringing an unprecedented visual feast to the audience.



Theia S1 Live Streaming Switcher also shone brightly at the NAB Show. This 4ch 4K live streaming product integrates the functionalities of a video switcher, streaming computer, and video recorder, offering a comprehensive solution for live broadcasting. Boasting an extensive array of DVE functions (logos, graphical captions, up to five windows with 12 picture-in-picture options, and 36 transition effects), Theia S1 has a switching and transition effect control console which provides rich features to manipulate content efficiently with preview and program windows. Both landscape and portrait-mode content display are supported. The comprehensive feature set has garnered praise and attention from numerous customers, positioning the Theia S1 as a leading choice for high-quality live streaming applications.

NxVi also showcased its AI edge inference computing box, Thena A1. The advanced AI digital technologies, such as UHD video processing, gesture recognition, and virtual avatars, enable it to meet the needs of various complex scenarios. Its fanless architecture guarantees whisper-quiet operation, ensuring zero noise interference during broadcasts. Additionally, its low power consumption not only enhances energy efficiency but also minimizes heat generation, thereby ensuring a more stable and dependable performance. Thena A1 is the ultimate solution for broadcasters seeking a reliable and efficient edge computing device.


The high-performance Century PCIe cards was also showcased on this exhibition.  To support developers of high-performance edge AI video analytics systems across industry verticals, the Hailo industry-leading Hailo-8 AI accelerator card is now available in a PCIe form factor. It enables deep neural network inferencing in real-time with low power consumption for a broad range of market segments and applications on any platform with a 16-lane PCIe slot and delivers a range of up to 104 TOPS of AI performance at a low power consumption by Hailo.
